New Balance - Francisco Lindor Collection

photography | video | production

With bold style and a vibrant personality, Major League Baseball shortstop Francisco Lindor knows how to make an entrance. To prep for his biggest career move yet to the NY Mets and launch his Signature Collection in style, New Balance came to Matthew Coughlin Photography to create a campaign worthy of the momentous occasion.

Shot over a single-day in Orlando, Florida, Matthew Coughlin served as the Director/Photographer and the MCP team led all aspects of the project—creative, pre-production, production and post.

Final deliverables included a :30 second launch video, :10 second supplement video as well as product, lifestyle and on-field action photography.

“This project had a lot of moving parts and logistics. We had to make the most of our 6 hours with Lindor. Ultimately, we decided to shoot late afternoon on the baseball field so we could focus on lighting the tunnel scene underneath the stadium at night. This gave us control of introducing color into the story which coincided with the style of the cleat and excitement of “Making an Entrance.” — Matthew

*Side note: As fate would have it, an unusual cold front came through Orlando that night—making for a chilly production. It might not have been Boston or New York cold, but us Floridians braved it with coats, hand warmers, heaters and good spirits.
